Logos which is the Consistency and Logic; is used in this article from a logical standpoint, they point out that as a "fix" so to speak, for food waste we could simply give the leftovers that we did not consume for the needy and homeless; as she knows of places where donations are accepted. Her consistency in explaining her argument and then giving detailed examples to back up each point, is another form of Logos. To simply point out each fact is not enough as she sticks to giving examples and descriptive arguments, which in turn goes along with Ethos, due to the credibility.

In many forms, the author uses certain examples to prove her validity; one of which is the autobiography mentioned in the first part of the article itself. The name of the autobiography is "It's me Eddie" written by a Russian writer named Limonov. Other examples include a diagram done of a recent survey about food loss and food waste. Another is a case she uses as an example to prove a point, it's the case "Long v. Dilling Mechanical Contractors, Inc., 705 N.E.2d 1022 (Court of Appeals of Indiana,1999)".
